Established in 1977 by Kenneth Boyd Hopper
as Boyd Hopper & Associates the business was
operated as a small Property and Casualty
agency. In 1992, Monte Thompson purchased
50% of the agency and the name was changed
to Thompson, Hopper & Associates.
The remaining portion was obtained in 1995
and the name was changed to J.M. Thompson
Insurance Inc. in 1997. The Agency was moved
to a new purchased and renovated building
at 121 S. Washington street in the late fall
of 1998. The office include astate-of-the art
computer system for record keeping and
information management. In addition, a
comparative rating program is used to
instantly access the rates of our companies.
